Build a compact four-post pole barn shelter with a single-slope metal roof. This digital package provides a complete step-by-step guide, measured blueprints, and separate 3D reference models for the open core and optional three-wall enclosure.

IMPORTANT SCOPE NOTE

The required finished build is the open shelter with its complete roof. Instructions for optional left, right, and rear walls are included, but the walls are added only after the open structure passes final inspection. The high front remains open.

Optional walls change wind pressure, drainage, ventilation, and foundation demands. Obtain local approval before adding them. This package does not include a front wall, doors, stalls, gates, utilities, equipment, animal-load features, or other suggested accessories.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

- One 41-page complete building-guide PDF - One 10-sheet measured blueprint PDF - One STL model of the open shelter for 3D reference - One STL model of the optional enclosed version for 3D reference

The guide includes site and layout checks, complete purchasing guidance, measured component schedules, foundation work, post and roof-plane setup, beam and brace fitting, roof installation, optional-wall guidance, checkpoints, corrections, final inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

WHAT THE PLANS BUILD

The core design is a freestanding four-post outdoor shelter with a high open front, low rear eave, permanent bracing, and single-slope metal roof.

The post-center grid is 109 3/4 inches wide by 136 1/2 inches deep. Above-grade post heights are 120 inches at the high front and 96 inches at the low rear. Modeled finished bounds are approximately 128 inches wide by 153 61/64 inches deep by 123 63/64 inches high.

The optional enclosure adds rear and side wall systems while leaving the front open.

PROJECT SCOPE AND REQUIREMENTS

The guide covers site approval, utility clearance, layout, excavation, compacted bases, post setting, concrete placement, cure requirements, roof-plane establishment, field-fit framing, permanent bracing, metal roofing, open-core inspection, optional walls, and ongoing maintenance.

Plan for at least two capable adults during post and beam work and three people when handling full-length roof panels. The project spans several days because foundation and cure requirements must be respected.

WOOD COST GUIDE

The open-core wood and lumber planning subtotal calculated from the printed guide is $214.94. The separate optional-wall lumber subtotal is $82.92. Pricing was researched for Augusta, Georgia, on August 12, 2026. These wood subtotals exclude taxes, delivery, tools, hardware, roofing, concrete, gravel, permits, optional finish, and other non-wood items. Verify current local costs before purchasing.

DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

This is a digital product. No physical pole barn, wall enclosure, lumber, hardware, tools, roof panels, printed plans, or accessories will be shipped.

Both STL files are supplied only for 3D reference. STL files do not store measurement units, and the models are not print-ready or substitutes for the written guide and blueprints.

PLEASE REVIEW BEFORE BUILDING

Before work, verify property lines, underground utilities, overhead hazards, drainage, frost depth, soil conditions, wind and snow loads, permits, setbacks, and local building requirements. Contact 811 before digging in the United States. Local approval controls the final foundation, connections, and optional walls.

These plans provide educational DIY guidance and are not stamped, site-specific engineering or architectural documents. Written dimensions and field-fit instructions control the build. The buyer is responsible for safe construction, suitability, compliance, and professional review.
